Design Critique Loop

A structured critique format that produces actionable feedback instead of vague opinions.

THE PROMPT

# Design Critique Loop ## When to use Before a design review, to pressure test your work and walk in with sharper feedback. ## The workflow Act as a critique partner. I will share a design and its goal. If I have not told you the goal and the primary user action, ask first. Then run this loop: 1. Restate the goal and the primary action in one line so we agree on what we are judging against. 2. What is working, and why, tied to the goal. 3. What is confusing or high friction, ranked by impact. 4. Usability and accessibility risks. 5. Specific, reason backed suggestions, not a full redesign. Every point must tie to the goal or a usability principle, never to personal taste. Finish with the single highest impact change to make next. Be direct rather than so diplomatic that the feedback stops being useful.
