How to Use the Lottie Editor Tool?
1. Upload Your Lottie JSON
• Export your animation from After Effects via Bodymovin, or download one from LottieFiles (e.g., loader-animation.json). • Drag and drop the .json file into the tool, or click to browse. • Your file is processed locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored.
2. Manage Your Layers
• See every layer in your animation, including those inside precomps, with type badges (Shape, Text, Solid, Image). • Click the eye icon to hide/show a layer, or the trash icon to delete it — Undo restores anything by mistake. • Use the arrows to reorder layers and change what appears in front.
3. Change Colors & Edit Text
• Open the Colors tab to see every color used in your animation as a palette. • Click any swatch to pick a new color — every element using it updates at once. • In the Text tab, type new content into any text layer and watch it update live.
4. Preview & Download
• Play, pause, scrub the timeline frame by frame, and test speeds from 0.25× to 2×. • Switch the preview background (transparent or any color) to check contrast. • Click "Download Edited JSON" and use the file in your website, app, or any Lottie player.
